Both of them overrated. Could get better players for cheaper.

Think you could pick up both for around £6-8m each and if only one of them reach their potential you'll make a profit overall - and they're both getting better by the day. Both only 22.

If we sold Fellaini for around £24m (or closer to £30m you'd hope/wish!) and picked up those two for around £15m, that'd be really good business IMO.

Mourinho and Villas Boas haven't turned out too badly.

they both won continental competitions and i believe had a far better win ratio, mourinho about 72 odd and AVB closer to the 80 mark, where as i think Pereira was more like 55 or so.

I think there's a chance that we're starting to have delusions of grandeur. Yes, we're a big club, but we're still skint, Kenwright is still at the helm and it doesn't look likely that we will get investment any time soon.

mcmanaman and mccarthy are 21 , cant think of 2 21 year old players in our squad with so much prem experience.
would i have mccarthy over hitzelberger ? yes
would i have mcmanaman over magaye ? yes again

Not sure why there is so much negativity surrounding Martinez, I think we should give the lad a chance to be honest and let's face it, it could be a lot worse e.g. Lennon, Neville etc.

After all, after the cup defeat, I don't think I spoke to one Evertonian who didn't want Martinez as our next manager....

I think the general consensus is that he's not the worst option. In fact he's one of the better names given some of the aforementioned jokers (Lennon, O'neil, blah blah). However it was the easy option when we perhaps could have went out to get a top manager from a European club. Like someone said before, it feels more of an opportunity missed.

I'm happy n will b 110 percent behind him ! He might not b the best manager in the world but he's very positive n plays a brand a football that is worth watching !! Xciting times just hope everyone gets behind him !! Coyb

I think he can get more out of our squad than Moyes ever did. We will hopefully no longer have a problem with strikers, and we will play great football.

People go on about the defence, but we still have jagielka, distin and Duffy at the back, aswell as Stubbs and weir in the backroom staff.

Any names?

Adrien from spoting lisbon.

Think Stocker would be better for us than Callum, Josh Gatt also from Molde.

Moreno Constanzo from young boys is a good player, who would be cheaper than Mccarthy by a lot.

Pirmin Schwegler is another fella who plays in the german league, he's a decent player and wouldnt cost as much

Mccarthy would cost us like 10m for a player who isn't even that good.

Martinez is the best we could have hoped for. I'm happy it's him.

Get the deal done quickly so we can relax over the summer and look forward to a new season..

I think he's more intelligent than Moyes and has more integrity. Unlucky Kenwright, your shield has gone.

You honestly think anyone who's coped with a negative net spend every year coupled with a wage bill capped at 40 million without doing anything but praise his chairman is going to cause waves with Kenwright?

Seriously?

This is such a safe yes man appointment. It might well be a good one, Martinez has proven himself reasonably capable, but it's not someone who will challenge the baord, at all.

He'll smile while being being shat on.
