The safe choice comments for Martinez comes from being a guy who will come in and carry on moyes work behind the scene's. the youth set up, the Everton DNA, keeping the club ticking over the way it has been. Not coming in and changing all the staff, filling the club with strangers only to all vacate once it goes wrong. Continuity for the players that there still at the same special club running the same way albeit with a new gaffer.

If you want to turn your nose up at that as being un-ambitious so be it...if you think moyes set up of the club and how we're perceived as a good club is wrong so be it....If you think we're run so badly behind the scenes (and I'm talking coach's, youth, ect not boardroom) and want a foreign invasion and a whole new regime, again so be it....I happen to think your wrong there's a lot of things right with EFC which I hope remain whoever's our manager.

So your asking me if I want another yes man who bends over backwards for the Board?

Or

Do I want somebody different, somebody with a bit of fire, somebody that might take us to the next level.

I want Everton to progress,Moyes steadied the ship, he made us solid, I want somebody to move us on, for me, that isnt Martinez, he doesnt strike me as progress.

Got nothing to do with being a yes man!?!? Talking about are set up mate...

And if you want the next level....vitor's no good or Martinez or.....

Until our shiek is found there is no real next level is there. We're behind all the teams that finished above us, and painfully one that finished below us too!

If your expecting a next level with the new boss, your likely to be dissapointed whoever we appoint.

blimey what is your next level? winning the league? i'd take winning the league cup ffs! and the 6th place trophy in the same
season.

then maybe a very good run in the europa,fa cup but try and push for 5th maybe 4th is my next level with this squad which imho should have won a couple of things under moyes but didnt!

I said I want the next level, I want somebody that MIGHT take us there, the next level for Martinez is a shiny new League, boooooo.

If it is Martinez (it looks likely but EFC often spring a surprise) then I hope to fcuk he is backed. Bill needs to put a few quid in the transfer pot and Martinez better know of some sh!t-hot striker that he can bring in, like Michu but even better.
 
Why are we paying compensation ( if that's true?) to a manager who has asked to leave his club?
 

Wigan own his football rights for a Year, if somebody wishes to buy these rights, they must buy out his contract.

Its the nature of a rolling contract.

The other option is to wait 12months for the contract to expire.

It does my absolute face in that we may have to pay compensation for a manager who quit his old club before we decided to hire him.
