I hope whoever is appointed will have the backing of you all. He's going to need it.
What worries me is too many of you foolishly backing yourself into one corner over one candidate and convincing yourselves that the others are inferior to them. None of you, nor I, know this.
It's a new chapter for the club and as much as it could all go tits up, it could be sound. Only time will tell and that's what will happen.

There's more than one reason why a manager is appointed tho. No manager is a safe choice on the pitch...ie keeping us where moyes had us up at the top, it could go wrong or right for any of VP Martinez or Ralph or anyone else we appointed...
The safe choice comments for Martinez comes from being a guy who will come in and carry on moyes work behind the scene's. the youth set up, the Everton DNA, keeping the club ticking over the way it has been. Not coming in and changing all the staff, filling the club with strangers only to all vacate once it goes wrong. Continuity for the players that there still at the same special club running the same way albeit with a new gaffer.
There's no safe option on the pitch for us with a managerial change...
There are safe options off the pitch for us with a managerial change...
If you want to turn your nose up at that as being un-ambitious so be it...if you think moyes set up of the club and how we're perceived as a good club is wrong so be it....If you think we're run so badly behind the scenes (and I'm talking coach's, youth, ect not boardroom) and want a foreign invasion and a whole new regime, again so be it....I happen to think your wrong there's a lot of things right with EFC which I hope remain whoever's our manager.
i heard bills trying to get him on loan .
I'm with this right now but I cant promise this if we get an internal appointment.Whoever is selected for the post of manager will not pleas everyone,
But very soon we will all have to bite the bullet and get behind him,
At the end of the day we are all Evertonians coyb
If we are that is a disgrace - he is no longer our manager why should we pay him?
I hope whoever is appointed will have the backing of you all. He's going to need it.
