Why it is rubbish
His wage bill is 38 million a year, ours is 68 million, he made a profit of 2 million this season in transfers, his rivals such as Villa and sunderland, Newcastle all in -20 million, and double the wage bill of wigan, Martinez had no chance.

his rivals!!!!! HAHAHAHA!

It is a myth that his teams play this amazing attacking football. It is staggering to me, that a top 8 side can not only appoint a manager who has been relegated, but that their fans welcome it.

You will all be reminiscing about the sixth placed trophy in seasons to come.

Or digging you out the vaults to name and shame. Lets just wait and see. It is exciting though, fresh new face and that

So there is no excuse for him not to maintain our current position at least, if he is as good as some people may think.

We don't know, he could fail or he could do great, or average, he just fits the criteria young, experience in this league, won stuff with both clubs he managed so he developing a winner mentality. He knows our players, he knows our rivals, he classy, he loves attacking football. The job might be too big for him, but I would take the gamble on him.

I know.

Why don't we just wait and see how he does? And in the meantime why don't we get behind him and the team. Show the new manager he's got our support?

I know for a fact some on here will boo him and would be made up if he fails just so they could say "I told you so".

Wow - the stats on SSN are seriously underwhelming! If he is the chosen one, I'll support Roberto 100% but just think we have missed out on making a real statement and showing we are intent on becoming winners again! Fingers crossed I'm wrong.

same situation as moyes who despite spending feck all in recent seasons still built a side only beaten less than the two manchester clubs- against the odds with the RS, Spurs, Cheslki and arsenal amongst the ones you mentioned spending much more and paying bigger wages.

End of the day a relegated manager has dangled the fancy football and a cup win above Kenwright and he's took it poor poor choice, I'll back him as he's a nice fella but believe me forget the days of saying "a win on saturday will have us 2 points behind 4th"

Swansea fans credit him with laying the foundations for their 'total football' approach, and his Swansea team did play beautiful football, as did his Wigan team at times.

So no, it's not a myth.

I actually have.

And face it Martinez clearly isn't the fans' favourite.

Maybe not but unfortunately it's impossible to please everyone, many fans also feel he is a young progressive manager who can only improve. They also feel his brand of football may work at a much bigger club with better resources and players.
