It is a myth that his teams play this amazing attacking football. It is staggering to me, that a top 8 side can not only appoint a manager who has been relegated, but that their fans welcome it.

You will all be reminiscing about the sixth placed trophy in seasons to come.
Will we ****e, we will always talk about Moyes and how close we were, but he gone and left us now so we have to get on and hope Martinez can give us an enjoyable season and turn Barkley into a star we all believe he can be.

We don't know, he could fail or he could do great, or average, he just fits the criteria young, experience in this league, won stuff with both clubs he managed so he developing a winner mentality. He knows our players, he knows our rivals, he classy, he loves attacking football. The job might be too big for him, but I would take the gamble on him.

I hope our staffs like Weir and Stubbs will stay on - to assist him for the defending tactics.

I've moaned and moaned and moaned bout Martinez, but im actually relieved it looks like its all coming to an end. So with that welcome to Everton, good luck and make me love you.

I hope one legged whelans right that martinez is a top 4 manager,no excuse here,he has a very good team here so lets see how good this martinez bloke is.

I don't know if it's a good or bad hire, time will tell. It's entirely underwhelming though.

#EFC Roberto Martinez will be bringing in Graeme Jones (bad cop to his good cop) as the No2, also Iñaki Bergara will be goalkeeping coach.

Don't know how reliable this lad is, but fair play if this turns out to be true already considering Everton have not commented yet

Think this is the right appointment for us. Looking forward to new season. He has got much better players at everton and if he can get us playing well, we can have a good season next year.

Moyes has been papering over the cracks and keeping this club together for years now I fear that we really are going to start crumbling and this appointment will show the board for what they are when we fly down the leauge I expect no higher then 12 and the few players we do get in to be as crap as the rest of the tosh he bourght at wigan.

Am just so sad that the club we all love has to bear the brunt of it.

Maybe not but unfortunately it's impossible to please everyone, many fans also feel he is a young progressive manager who can only improve. They also feel his brand of football may work at a much bigger club with better resources and players.

It will be interesting in relation to the incoming and outgoing transfers. Hope Martinez will be a success because I love Everton. I want us to progress and get 5th next season.

It's quite sad that some of our fan's are hoping that he fails at his task ahead.

Get behind him and support the manager and his players.
