For all the bad press Moyes got on here, Everton played well better football than Wigan. You only have to look at the Mirallas goal in our last home game. I just can't understand people pleased with this. What are yous expecting next season?

Look at the players he had at his disposal though, he did ****ing well to get them playing the way they did.

I'm looking forward to seeing what he can do with the likes of Pienaar, Osman, Barkley, Fellaini (hopefully) and Kev Mirallas under his wing.

They should do, I mean I hear about Stubbs being a massive blue, and he doing a good job, depend on what he wants, the rumours of him being interview for the manager job, he might leave and move to a lower club to manage. We wont do much coming in and out in the backroom staff. Bill too tight for that.

Hope so man. I pray all our best players will stay including Fellaini.

Losing Mucha, Hitzlsperger and Neville on a free. Heitinga is leaving too. That's it.

All the debating about Managerial appointments have to end now. Martinez has been chosen (near enough) and that's an end of it.

Since when did Everton Football Club become the same as teams like Chelsea, Man City and more recently, Stoke, by going against their manager from day one.

I for one was one of the people wanting to see Perreira appointed, but we have to trust in our chairman until we have reason not to trust.

"Nil Satis Nisi Optimum" should be a phrase that applies to the fans just as much as the players and staff. We pride ourselves on being the best fans in England. Now lets show some class by going against the grain and supporting our new Manager.
This all over, That Mark Hughes Out sign was cringy and pathetic. We off all know our manager needs patient, lets hope he can win the fan over early like Moyes did, he won our hearts when he got 4th for us. He was made from that.

Jesus lads, you would all think we have just come out of our most successful period, and appointed a bum. We haven't won a trophy for 18 years, the great David Moyes managed us through the only decade in history that Everton didn't win a trophy. This is not the gamble people are making it out to be, we may have been comfortable top 8 but we were going nowhere . I would rather have a go at the top 4 and finish 12th then finish 6th and don't.

Come on you Blues

Dave Whelan just phoned up Martínez: "Best of luck Roberto. Break a leg...speaking of which, did I ever tell you about that time that I...

I've wrote an email to the FA, reference Whelan.

Just like the hymn "abide with me" I would like to see the FA find a Dave Whelan ( must be plenty of them ) and break that Dave's leg before kickoff.

Anyway, welcome Roberto and good luck. I will be honest and say he was not my first choice, I hope he proves me wrong.

For those talking about him being a 'relegated manager':
