There's no escape from Alcaraz.
coincidentally (for those who've seen the film)
I actually think this distinctly average defender might actually have a paper mache head

Not been on all day so I don't know if similar question has been raised already. Anyone else noticed Stubbs has had his profile raised over last 24 hours? A piece on him on the EFC website tonight about his leadership skills, handling big dressing room characters etc. Yesterday there were pieces on him in both the Echo and Daily Post. Probably means nothing ( I hope)...
Got awhile to go to overtake Peinar.Alcaraz/Alcatraz will become the most misspelt Everton player since Graveson/Gravesen.

Can the papers please stop linking us with crap Wigan defenders?

The latest tale is Martinez will be 'swooping' for 'trusted centre-half, 30 year old Antolin Alcaraz - available on a free transfer, whose arrival will help him switch Everton to a 3-5-2 formation'.
The worst part of Wigan's team was their defence, so why on earth would we be signing one of their crap defenders - especially one that is 30 years old (when we already have Jags nearly 31, Distin 35, and Heitinga nearly 30), also someone on a free?
The notion that Martinez will improve at Everton because he'll have better players at his disposal will become flawed if he starts signing crap Wigan defenders!
Peinaar?It's Piennar.
Peinaar?
Sarcasm?
