Oh come off it you're talking about the difference between 2008/2009 and 2009/2010!! The difference between Bruce' last season in charge and Martinez' first the very next season is night and day. Don't try and claim that Martinez had to deal with a different transfer kitty and wage bill in his first season in charge compared to the previous season!

When Bruce left Martinez lost 4 key players and couldnt replace them.

Imagine martinez taking over us and losing Baines, Fellaini, Jagielka and Pienaar and seeing where we finish. Yeah exactly.
 

Will it be announced today ?
Opinion once again is divided. Is Martinez the man to take us forward, or will he take us back to the bad old days of the annual relegation scrap ?
We have a much better squad than Wigan and a far superior defence.
Let's ALL get behind him and see what he can do.
One thing is certain, the job will become a lot harder if he does not have our full support.

Listening to the radio last night and they had a journo from the Guardian on there. He said when Martinez took over at Wigan the chairman made him slash the wage bill by 22%. Don't know whether its true or not but if so that's a massive amount to shed in one season.
