Not necessarily mate - we couldn't speak with Martinez until he and Pegleg had finished their discussions. Vitor's agent confirmed very openly that he asked the Porto chairman for the rest of this week to make his decision to accept their new contract offer.

It kind of all fits into place that Bill is taking the time to interview all preferred (external) candidates. My main hope is that this isn't just a charade so he can say he did his due diligence properly on each candidate, and that he does infact then make a fair decision based on what he hears from each.

The fact is Dave Whelan sees Martinez not signing a new contract in the future as a resignation & he honestly told him he wanted away - DM refused to sign his contract & BK just accepted it which has proved to be wrong as we got no compensation - so yes we should pay compensation as Dave Whelan has a business head on him. The fans moaning on here about Martinez before he has had is interview is poor but its there option, but it will be a hard job at EFC with the financial constraints it will have put many managers off so if Roberto Martinez does come then he will have the support I am sure - Comparing him with Mike Walker is rubbish - we took Joe Royle from relegated Oldham & we got silverware!
