We do need a manager who understand us and get it. Moyes did in my eyes as well. Martinez might bring back the slogan School of Science. Is this our first foreign manager?

Don't forget tho when the rs wanted Martinez, he had to go on the show and that would have put him off where Brendon loves it.

Joe Parkinson:

I think it is the perfect match for him. If it does work out, I wish him all of the best, because he has given people a lot of chances at Wigan and he has done so well for them, apart from being relegated. It's been an achievement to stay in the Premier League so long

It's the 'apart from being relegated' part that worries me.

Yeah, but we have to forget that cos its different tools now he in charge off. He doesn't have to build a premiership team on buttons. Moyes had done the hard work. We were looking stale and predictable this season and we need fresh ideas now. Why not look at his F.A cup win as an achievement for his club who never won anything. I don't care for the excuses that City and us handed them the F.A cup. We have better players, Martinez will love our full backs. I'm hoping he can bring another striker in to finish the team off.

Vinny O'connor on SSN has just said the other 2 to be interviewed were the internal candidates (inc Steve Round FFS) and Vitor who was interviewed last week apparently

No he said the internal candidates including steve round were interviewed 2 weeks ago and that out of the 3 people who are 'left' it's vitor, Roberto and someone else. didn't mention a name.

So Vitor was interviewed last week, according to sky news.Well this sort of puts paid to the claims that the board never looked outside the northwest for a manager.
Wonder if Vitor is delaying his decision to stay at Porto until Everton have interviewed Martinez and given their decision ?
