I said it a while ago history repeating itself regarding Martinez/moyes, its never about the quality of the players or the stature or history of our club its all Martinez in the media. No doubt the day he moves on the media will predict we will crumble like it was under moyes

This is clearly a deliberate plot to paint an image of Martinez, then he says it's too early and doesn't want to disrespect the club, and it's replaced with William Ralph. Everyone loves Martinez more and then there are calls to paint over the image with Martinez following our second consecutive 5th place finish.

Has bobby commented yet?

Love Martinez but don't like the painting. we have vast historical value if not the greatest and this cheapens it somewhat but I can also give the benefit of the doudt and see what they're thinking. With the 'statement of intent 'surprise signing of lulaku this painting is signalling our introduction into the premier league era proper. Finally.

Maybe cringe. Maybe it's an arrogance we've been missing for a very long time. Time will tell and I'm already feeling the pressure of expectation!
