That is the Guv'nor, the Boss, the Big Cheese!

One look at that picture and you already have the words "Absolutelty, Phenomenal, Winning and Ethic" rolling round your head. Imagine what opposition players and supporters will think.

Its all about making Goodison a fortress, something we all should rallying round to do.

Isn't that our job as supporters?

I do believe they have plans for the Fan Park too.

Like he would turn Barcelona down if they came calling.

Probably not.
But could it keep him from jumping for an Inter or Wolfsburg or even an Athletico hopefully ...

Let's build our own culture and legacy. We could easily become the Dortmund of the EPL. History, passionate fans, loyal players and coach.

Don't think at the moment he is likely to go anywhere and certainly not to a "lesser" club.
I would like to think you are right Chris as he absolutely gets our club.

Nah. It's all down to three things:
1) Bill Simmons picked them as his club in '06 and had a massive readership of college kids
2) One of the main reasons he gave - low bandwagon potential
3) They do a great job getting their name out, like the NBC Sports commercial last year.
London was another factor, as it's a destination city, so he could see the club on a vacation his wife/kids could enjoy.

Basically, he liked them because they're us, but in London. (His second choice was Liverpool, so his judgement is anything but sound...he said Gerrard was the most likable footballer in the Prem).

You remember that NBC spot? They kept comparing the Big Clubs to the Dallas Cowboys? The Dallas Cowboys as known as 'America's Team'. They're just about the most hated club in the US. Loads of Americans hate favorites and prefer small local teams with history and dignity and a 'blue collar work ethic'. Spurs are selling that. We're not. Thus they have a greater support base here. But even with zero help form the club Everton are getting a bunch of American supporters, which proves the market exists.

That thing about Spurs is nonsense though.

Their lowest sesson ticket costs more than our highest.

They are as bout as much Blue collar as I am a kopite

Perception is reality mate.

In the States they're seen as a blue collar club because they aren't the hugely branded Sky 4. The relative wealth of their supporters isn't factored in.
