Landslide victory for Martinez.

Not surprising either. Record PL points total; had us playing football last season we thought we'd never see again from players in Everton blue.

Most people aren't swayed by performances in the teeth of a freak injury crisis. I think the vast majority know he's made errors but are seeing also that they are being made in the context of dealing with those injuries (and yes, his own failure to move in the window for defensive players).

He'll be our manager for years and years to come. Thank goodness.
Can we have Dah Vek back please mate...

Utterly embarrassing thread, the sort of knee jerking short terminism that we laugh at other clubs for.

Played 7 games, 2 of them away at Man Utd and Liverpool, as well as at home to Arsenal & Chelsea.

Of the other 3 games, we drew when we should have won (Leicester), we beat WBA away, and we got beat at home to Palace (that was a bad one).

We've made a good start to our European campaign.

We've exited the League Cup to a fellow Prem team away, at the same stage we always exit the League Cup.

Based on all that, coupled with fairly lengthy injuries to our 5 best players - Coleman, McCarthy, Stones, Mirallas and Barkley - I'd say there is absolutely zero reason to start knee jerking.

Yeah, there are things we can improve. Howard has cost us several games now with his mistakes. Lukaku is woefully out of form.

But we are dominating games, and we are scoring goals. Defensively, we have been better of late. Can't keep a clean sheet like, but we're looking better.

Really wish people would see the bigger picture before they start ridiculous calls or proclamations of doom & gloom.

tbh I think we are now realising that our squad isn't as strong as we hoped it would be. although I am happy with the players we got in we essentially only added two players who have featured in the first 11 from last seasons squad.

Some new and exciting players can really boost the squad at the start of the season or at least give other teams a unknown quantity to think about.

I know we didn't really have muh money but there where frees and loans that would of really fit in here that we missed out on.

4/5 players are injured and our replacements don't look good enuff for me.

Also martinez needs to make better subs when we need them not after the game has pretty much been lost.

Bobby in!

Personally I believe its completely stupid to take a bad patch like this and start extrapolating all kinds of nonsense in your head before stating them as big fat RAFAFACTS on here.

Some of the posters on here do not deserve to enjoy the success that I believe is coming under our boss boss.

Is right mate

Go easy on @toffee matt , nothing wrong with having a look at who's going into meltdown early on. We did the same with Moyes for a while.

Said in the summer this was going to be a tough season and wondered how many would turn on him. I have a little more faith in Evertonians now seeing this poll result.

If we don't get at least 6 points from our next three games against Villa, Burnley & Swansea then we will more than likely be bottom 3, if this is the case then he has to go! I hope I'm wrong

I forgot to mention as well that Man Utd had a whole week to prepare for that game, whilst we got back from Southern Russia (the furthest we could have gone for a club game) at 2:30am Friday morning and had to play the game a little over 48 hours later. So not only did we have to play a game 48 hours later - always a killer - but also had to do so after a 5 hour flight and getting a 3 hour time difference out of our bodies, both things that would take a toll and take 2-3 days maximum to fully recuperate from.
