You have to back a managers philosphey for me, the season comes in phases we've finished a praticularly difficult one in term of fixtures, I expect us to be the form team in the league now until this Dec!

Not even a little panicked!

There is no manager we could get where it would be 100% plain sailing. Got to suck it up and roll with the punches. Improvrement needed obv

We may finish 8th or 9th this season, but let's look at bigger picture, RM was always going to struggle to get same pts total as last yr.

But I would rather go 1 step back to go 2 steps forward, than go 4 steps back by knee-jerk decision to replace him .

Patience

The things he 'needs to improve' are:

- Get the FIVE first team players back fit and playing.
- Play easier teams than 3 of last season's top 4, as well as another usual top 4 team (3 of them away from home).
- Drop Lukaku
- Warn Howard if he makes any more mistakes, Robles will get his chance.

What worked last season can work again this season - as long as we stop shooting ourselves in the foot.

If Baines (who never misses penalties) slots that penalty, and Howard puts that ball into the stand like any normal keeper would, we'd be sitting here discussing a boss victory.

It's not like we're getting hammered or are getting completely outplayed.

You know under moyes we would start crap every season and around this time we would all be saying "we're going down", never did though. martinez infuriates me some times but am still 100% behind him, quality manager and am sure this time next may we will be sitting pretty.

The league table makes for grim reading right now, but I'm not going into meltdown just yet. We've been here before.

Is not just 7 games though is it, our last 6-7 games last season cost us 4th, pre season was a joke and then you've got the cc game against swansea

Last season we finished with our highest points total and most wins in a season for 27 years.
Pre-Season is irrelevant - I've seen us win every pre-season game, then not get more than 1 league win until October (under Moyes just a few years ago).
The Swansea CC game is what it is... we never do well in that cup, we played a weakened team, and we got beat away from home by a fellow Prem side.

We've lost 5 key players who would all be in our first choice starting 11. Our goalkeeper and centre forward are playing crap. We've also played 3 of last season's top 4, and another who are a perennial top 4 team.

There are loads of extenuating circumstances combining for an almighty poo-storm. We just have to ride it out and not lose our heads by doing silly kneejerking.
