If you want to call 5th place midtable which you define as "a term used to describe a team that isn't competing with the elite" that is up to you, think you are wrong both on the mathematics and Everton matching your definition.

Last year I remember us competing damn well the "elite" - City, the eventual winners, were the only team to beat us home and away.

I think Stoke beat Man City away the other week, and Sunderland got four points against City last year, it doesn't mean either are competing with the elite. We were 8 points off finishing 4th, which these days is a position that means something, and 8 points is a massive gap I'm afraid, I wouldn't class it as competing with them.

I've made my points about mathematics, nobody has historically referred to the mean, the median, and the mode when using terms like 'mid-table'. And I stand by that was why the play offs were brought in, so that mid-table clubs had something to compete for.

He won't turn it round if he keeps bringing Osman on for Eto'o when we need a goal, that was FUBAR from him today.
I thought Osman and Browning helped us to get a better grip on the match as it came to a close.
He's clueless and laughable and undoing all the hard-work Moyes done in getting us to a top5/6 club. Completely fluked last season. Taking us back to the dark days of Walter. Catalan bin lord.
I hope this is sarcasm otherwise I'm concerned for you and your mental well being
Yeah...OK.

So many bad tits on this forum.
That's what negs are for lid - fire away.

Disagree but neither of us are going to budge on this so lets just agree to disagree.

We'll finish in the top half again, but can't see a top 6 finish this season.

who's going to stop us? the spurs who lost at home to west brom, the RS who lost at home to villa or the united who let in 9 goals vs leicester and MK Dons? or are you placing us below southampton and swansea?

Yep, and you are one of them! Going around calling people 'bad tits' just for expressing their opinion on a message board, like some sad Year 9 with a hard-on.

I certainly don't mind folks expressing their opinion. 5th, however, is not 'mid table'...that is a fact that can not be disputed. So go on with your opinion...just do it factually please.

Please note that I didn't call you a bad tit...seems you have a guilty conscience though.

we all have a guilty conscience when it comes to tits

Ok, lets all be honest its not the start any of us expected or wanted but...
We were within a world class save from getting a point at O.T, granted its not the best Man U team we have seen and we were woeful for 80 mins but we all woulda took a point at the beginning of the game - So we play bad and nearly get a point at O.T (3 days a gruelling trek to the nether reaches of Europe and back.) after missing a pen as well.
Played awful in the derby, again, away and still got a point. Would take that.
Arsenal and Leicester - Ten min switch off in both games preventing us from having an extra 4pts now.
Chelsea - Freak result, still scored 3 mind...!

Individual errors - Rarely will you see this many in such a short span of games, Martinez has no control over that, hopefully (I think this every week :D) they will all be ironed out now and are behind us, SURELY there can't be any more(?)

Injuries - The footballing Gods don't like us, arguably our 4 most influential players have all spent a fair bit of time on the sidelines and we are only 7 games in ffs, any team would miss Coleman, Mirallas, Mccarthy, Barkley and God forbid, now looks like Stones will be out for a bit. Add to that Peanuts and Oviedo just coming back, am I missing anyone?

Granted tactically/team selection (Especially Palace game) he hasn't lived up to last seasons standards and his 'boss subs' from last year have gone AWOL this year but he's the right man and lets look at the bigger picture! I think we were a bit spoilt last year.

Important thing now is a big result against Villa with a feckin clean sheet! Get a bit of confidence up, and if we do win... Keep an unchanged side (I'm looking at you here Bobby) then kick on from there, its still tight as at the minute.

Keep the faith with me lids it will all click soon and we will be be fine.
