He won't turn it round if he keeps bringing Osman on for Eto'o when we need a goal, that was FUBAR from him today.

8.5 m difference in league money alone plus qualification to Europa (which is a route into Champions league) and you consider them the same?
No one was ever like this under moyes
No one was ever like this under moyes - and once with him we had one point out of 8!. You've grown sated with expectation. We ha two amazing runs last seasonwhere we got lucky several times (last minute winners and equalisers against Cardiff, Stoke, arsenal, villa, united) it only stands to reason we'd have a bad spell. We've played 4 of the big 5 already, 2 of them away, and it's just October. And we've got half our first team squad missing.Jog on
If you want to call 5th place midtable which you define as "a term used to describe a team that isn't competing with the elite" that is up to you, think you are wrong both on the mathematics and Everton matching your definition. The points you make above are relevant to the here and now, but historically 5th place has always been considered a mid-table position. They had to bring in the play offs in the lower leagues so that mid-table teams had something to fight for.
This just isn't true, at all. There were loads calling for Moyes' head at the start of the 2005/06 season, the season after he had secured a 4th placed finish, and he continued to experience pressure, vilification and ridicule during all of the other periods in which his team was performing badly.
To say Moyes was immune from criticism during his tenure is just totally false and inaccurate.
