Fully confident, bit unlucky at the moment, not getting the rub of the green.

Defence is getting slightly better, I know everyone gets injuries, but Barkley, Miralles, Coleman, & McCarthey are 1st teamers, and now stones.

Its a long season, all to play for, only 7 games FFS

I don't think he will ever take us beyond mid-table, and that he will end up having a very similar record to that ginger feller.

Fifth is mid table? Fifth is the "new" tenth / eleventh/ twelfth?

If Chelsea lost Costa, Fabregas, Terry, Hazard and Cahill to injury they might just, JUST be able to cope. For us, we're knackered.

Get off Martinez' back ffs and support him, players and club through this tough, tough time. Amateur tacticians and knee jerking tarts are not needed when times are hard.

Massive difference between wanting your manager sacked and wanting your manager to address issues which are clearly evident. I want the latter, I want the team that showed so much determination and fight last year to get hold of the ball off the opposition. Not the team that waits till the final 25 minutes to turn up and create a few chances

I certainly don't mind folks expressing their opinion. 5th, however, is not 'mid table'...that is a fact that can not be disputed. So go on with your opinion...just do it factually please.

Please note that I didn't call you a bad tit...seems you have a guilty conscience though.

I'm afraid it can be disputed, it is being disputed in this thread. I have never previously heard anyone refer to mathematics when using the term 'mid-table', and in my experience it has been used to describe teams that are failing to compete at the top of the league, and who are not involved in battling against relegation. Indeed, I am far from being alone in describing 5th, 6th and 7th placed finishes as mid-table finishes.

Oh I'm sorry, you called me a 'bad bell', you will have to excuse me, as I find sad Year 9 vernacular to be quite similar and a bit confusing at times.

Well said we all want this.
I just think some people think martinez is beyond flak.
However you dress it up since summer he has not managed our club to the best of his ability

Sorry mate...you and anyone else calling 5th as mid table is factually incorrect. Facts and stuff...

Only 5pts of 4th, and given we gaves away 4pts on 1st 2 games, shows the small margins.

10pts would of been a great start, we move on, at least we have started well in europa league

Managers try different systems, techniques and tactics all the time. He lives and breathes football which is evident, but something is not right that was right last year, thats all I want addressing. Whether hes trying to incorporate something new onto the team?? I don't know; all i know is what i'm watching every week is the complete opposite to last year.

Form and injuries have there say, but in reality we've only really lost Barkley, the majority of other games we've had the same 11 has last year. And for a team to enter a season, after a successful campagin last year, would raise alarm bells

At the end of the day the buck stops with Roberto; the displays, the selection, the tactics are all his decisions.
