Well if we sign Romero for say 10m (the rumoured fee) we would likely give him a 3 year deal (at a guess). If we are going big next summer, that would want to be avoided.

Absolutely fair to disagree - but if Pickford plays for the remainder of this season, he destroys any chance of top 6, never mind top 4 or even more. He has already cost us 3 goals in 4 games, he is a 20 points swing (conservative) over the rest of the season. Literally the worst in the league now - I don't get any arguement for him anymore
