No I am sure. However he has really only played in the Europa league, which is a level below the PL in many cases.

The other issue is, to me at least, I think they want a serious replacement next summer. A lot of the other positions are resolved (I appreciate right back may be a difficulty, but who knows maybe Holgate/Godfrey step in) but this will be the main focus.They seem to want a higher profile replacement than Romero. If they can secure them it makes some sense. If they don't, then they asre certainly open to some criticism.

You've watched Olsen more than me. I saw him a bit at the World cup and thought he was ok, and I like that he is a very tall goalkeeper. I've watched the obligatory saves package on youtube, and again there are some decent saves in there. I'm relieved that Pickford can now feasibly be dropped.

I think we might go for a big keeper next Summer BUT I'd think even Romero for this season and then do that would be good thinking. This is possibly our last season with Richarlison and Pickford is 100% going to mess it up at some point.

Virginia doesn't count the same as Tyrer doesn't count. It is funny we have Lossl because he is probably one of two GKs with PL experience in recent years that I'd say is worse than Pickford with the other being Kepa.

Olsen will be the backup, he will come in when Pickford drops one in the net again (I'm putting my money on the Newcastle game) and he will stay in net until a proper replacement comes in during January or next summer.

I suppose the problem was, they wouldn't sanction a loan, and we didn't want to give him a 3 year deal.
 

Cheap last minute loan, let's see how he does before we write him off eh, if anything it might give Pickford a kick up the backside that he definitely needs. If he's crap like everyone is saying, we send him back. Pickford will have got the message. United wouldn't let Romero go simple as.
