I don’t think he’s a bad back up keeper by any means, just watching this game back for work and to say his kicking was poor is an understatement. Last few games we’ve been able to go long to DCL when we’ve needed to get up the pitch, his kicks ended up the other side of the pitch to DCL or straight to a United player. Pickfords not the answer long term either but I don’t think Olsen is either, not that he’s bad just think we need better than him and Pickford long term
To add to this, don’t think he’s done badly by any means, few good saves just that long term I’d like to see us invest in a keeper

He and Lossl are two backup keepers we should never have brought in.

We have Virginia whose flopped at Reading and had a run out (or two?) In the league cup.

Totally pointless to have 3 backup keepers.

Why extend Virginia to 2024 but bring in two keepers ahead of him?

Weird.

Everton are a club that just love messing around in the transfer market for back up keepers. They keep buying bang average keepers that have very little chance of challenging for a number 1 spot.

So we know we have two not very good keepers so the manager has a dilemma to add to all the other dilemmas he has to deal with. Olsen was poor last night but so, as many will say, was Pickford frequently. Sort out the midfield and front men first and then bin both Olsen and Pickford for better standard keepers, that is if you can find any. There are so many poor goalkeepers all over the PL these days.

He made a great save at the end plus in the first half could do nothing with the goals against him only one hiccup on kicking the ball out ...many keepers blip like that .......commanded his area......

On the whole of the 3 games Olsen has been better than any 3 game stretch of Pickford's since the derby error too.

I mean he wasn't perfect tonight but it was essentially Pickford's Leeds performance and most people cite that as proof Jordan is turning the corner.
