Take your pick of the 2 5/10 goalkeepers lads, I'm not arsed. Everyone will moan at the one who is picked after 2 games regardless.

I'll take the taller one.

Very basic way to look at it I know but if they are both flawed then you may as well take the additional height.

Olsen doesn't wow me like Pickford can, at the same time I don't feel nervous with him on routine stuff like I do with Pickford.

Also worth mentioning that Pickford has been our number one for a number of years now, Olsen has had three random games, it takes time to get your communication down right with your defence. Noticed that a few times tonight where it looked like Coleman was expecting him to come out and claim the ball and he didn't. Takes time that.

Agree with most of that but what I will say is one of those keepers is on loan. I don't think there is a great deal of difference tbh. And in that case I'd go with "our" keeper who is also more familiar with the defence.

No this is true. I get the feeling Carlo doesn't love Pickford but he is an asset at the club who we have invested a lot in so he has to find a use for him. If we stop playing him now his value plummets.

I have always thought our best case scenario with Pickford is that he has a good season where we can hide his flaws and make him look good (like not letting every single team have free shots around our box) whilst showcasing his good traits then maybe someone will take a crack at signing him.

To be fair he has been fine the past few weeks.

Yes to all of that. Pickfords biggest problem is his height. It always has been and always will be. You'd be looking at a really good goalkeeper if you had Pickford with Olsens frame.

Neither of the 2 will be starting next year though I'd imagine.

This, regardless of our keeper, is because we leave opposition players with way to much space just outside the box. Any half decent professional footballer should be able to pick a spot to beat a keeper from outside the box if he has the time and space to do so. The amount of times Pogba and Fernandes were left free on the edge of the area tonight was a disgrace. I mean they are pretty good players like.
I don't think Olsen could have saved it dw. I just know that TheBig's stance is that any goal from outside the box is the keepers fault, so was trying to highlight that.

I find his basics to be flawed. Like he has always been a brilliant athlete and has relied on that to get him as far as he has so far.

My biggest worry with him has always been an issue I have with a lot of goalkeepers, namely some goalkeepers always seem to guess where the ball is going rather than reacting to where it goes if that makes sense? I see it with Pickford a lot, lets say a low ball gets put in across our six yard box, he will always throw himself down to where the ball is roughly going without waiting to see where it goes. That's fine if the ball ends up where it looks like it is going, but if it takes a deflection or gets blocked and bounces to another player etc, the goalie is already on the ground and has left his goal open.

I always look at the likes of David Seaman in his prime, maybe not one of the best ever but a very good goalie who very rarely made a spectacular save because he waited to see where the ball was going and would calmly collect it. Southall was a nice mix of both as he also had the reflexes to pull of ridiculous saves but could also make hard shots look effortless due to good positioning.

I just want Edwin Van Der Sar, is that too much to ask?

He is a bit old like...

I hear the cool kids are all about Odysseas Vlachodimos of Benfica these days.

And when I say cool kids I mean me. Odysseas is a well better name than Jordan or Robin.
Reckon he could still do a job.

Have Benfica found themselves another belter goalkeeper then?

Oblak, Emerson and now this guy.

Them pesky Portuguese and their brilliant recruitment.
