Olsen needs to be sent back from whence he came, Pickford remains our no1 no1. Brands needs to find somebody better & bring them in. Surely that isn’t the most difficult challenge. It’s a big footy world out there, so no need to spend big bucks on somebody like Pope.

Brands is paid a lot of money to get these things right & Olsen isn’t the answer.

I dont think he's the answer either, tho I do think he's better than Pickford. My response was to why would we open talks to sign him, and even if im not sure about him being out permanent nr 1, I understand why we might open talks for a permanent move. He would be a good second keeper when we get a new nr 1 in, and can play until Brands finds the right man to permanently take Pickfords spot.

I think we may have a couple of possible buyers if he does well in the euros and England go far.

Its odd as hes Englands number 1 but mocked across the country.

I wonder if we may try including him in a swap deal for a keeper overseas...

Catch 22 really @Eggs If he has a good euros (which we all hope) yes it might possibly alert other clubs, but surely the club will surely want him to stay. He was ok in his first season nothing more, but since that horrendous error at Anfield he seems to have gone backwards. He doesn’t command his area, his concentration levels are poor and more errors are creeping into his game. Not the qualities associated with a good keeper.
 
I wonder what people think we are going to use for money this summer ?
We had a huge loss in the last accounts and with Covid still rampant I don't this year will be any better.

I look at the squad now and because of the versatility of some players we are covered in most positions.

If the players are of a sufficiently high standard to suit the managers is another question.

I just don't see us spending lots of money to sign players and least of all I don't see us spending a lot of money to buy a goalkeeper.

...I’m not a fan in the least, I was just thinking we will need two keepers and I‘m ok with Pickford as back-up. Saying that, if the right offer comes in, he’s definitely a sellable asset.

Problem is, if he goes we’ll need to bring in two keepers.
 


Olsen cost Roma 8M or so didn't he? If they want that much for him I'd rather pass and put that towards a new number 1. Realistically we aren't going to be playing champions league with either of these 2 as our no.1
