And he hasn’t impressed. Then you look at his history with Roma when they didn’t seem him good enough either.

Why buy someone who isn’t good enough?
hows he suppose to impress in 4 games as a keeper? This fanbase is always quick to write people off and it's absolute nonsense.

He’s on a season long loan, with the aim of proving to us he deserves a deal, so has to take his opportunities when they’re presented to him.

He was an absolute calamity against Man Utd. We would’ve won that game had we of had a competent goalkeeper.

He made a couple of mistakes so far but also done more good stuff than Pickford does . Also don’t feel nervous every time the ball goes in his direction. For me he needs a run in the side to see if he can do the job because we all know Pickford can’t and will make more mistakes

Cannot agree mate, he had no chance with the 2nd goal, Fernandes was given space and shot was unstoppable. Cavanni's header was not his fault both Keane and Holgate did not pick him up and he got a free header. AS for 3rd goal he unluckily slipped otherwise that would have ben saved.

Calamity?! He made a bad bad error for the third goal and apparently he's not good enough despite making a superb triple save against Leeds, It's just absolute gutter talk. We're not finding a faultless keeper so you need to accept that right now.

He was forced into the triple save against Leeds because he cocked up originally.

Olsen needs to be held to account in the same way that Pickford is. If it had been Pickford in goal he would have been slaughtered on here for letting that goal in. You could argue that Olsen was too far off his line when Fernandes took on his shot, just as some people are saying that Tom Davies should have closed him down quicker.

I think Olsen is a capable goalkeeper, I think Pickford is better and I don't think we will be trying to sign a new first choice keeper in the summer.

All keepers make mistakes, Allisson is one of the best around but quite possibly his mistakes at the weekend cost Liverpool any chance of retaining the title.

Pickford does need to cut down on the silly mistakes but sometimes he is blamed when in truth there is no blame.

I'd like to see Olsen get a good uninterrupted run of 8 to 10 games to see how we are without Pickford in goal. I don't think he's a top class keeper (if he was he would be a first choice keeper somewhere not out on loan), but neither is Pickford, and getting a top keeper in has got to be a priority. We need a top class keeper to step up to being a top 4 club. Top class keepers will make saves that help win games. Ordinary keepers make mistakes that lose games and turn possible wins into draws.

Im not sure if its writing him off, I guess its more that people are seeing that he isnt necessarily a huge improvement of pickford.

He has only played about 4 games and was decent in 3 of them and poor in 1. It is way too early to give a proper judgement but if we had to judge after the 4 games then we would have to say he was decent based upon what we have seen so far. The lad needs to be given time though to judge him fairly and accurately which means a lot more than a mere 4 appearances.

Apparently we’ve opened talks to make the move permanent.

Why? The fella isn’t good enough and it doesn’t make sense unless we plan on moving Pickford on in the summer.

He has done nothing wrong so far other than slip once.

And yeah we could easily (well I say easily...) move Pickford on and then have Olsen as a cheap pick up and another goalie.

Bit of a mad shout that.

I mean, even just looking closer at home;

Lukaku wasn't good enough at Chelsea.
Pienaar wasn't good enough at Dortmund.
Arteta wasn't good enough at Sociedad.

Football is full of them.
