Has a track record in the 3 at the back too, I think if we get him we all know what we are doing next season, its also good we will have players who actually could play in that system...... if we sort out the midfield

Cant see this being anything to do with Lampard or Thelwell unfortunately.

They have a 'type' and he doesn't really fit any of there filters, i hope I'm wrong and the board aren't going over the coach & DOF's head.

My guess would be we have gone to the Pozzo's reennis, and with them owning Udinese also, they have offered us him and we cant help ourselves.

Why couldn't they be part of our strategy. I would be disappointed if we weren’t discussing Transfer targets on multiple fronts with multiple teams. That is exactly how you make a plan.

No idea if this guy is any good or not, but he is not a top six castoff anyway. Maybe, just maybe, we have identified a player who will fit into the team concept we are trying to build and will allow the sum to be greater than the parts.

Best not overpay though.
