Played consistently over the last 3 seasons same as Tarks so it looks like Lampard wants a consistent CB pairing. Very similar to his playing days at Chelsea.

Cant see this being anything to do with Lampard or Thelwell unfortunately.

They have a 'type' and he doesn't really fit any of there filters, i hope I'm wrong and the board aren't going over the coach & DOF's head.

My guess would be we have gone to the Pozzo's reennis, and with them owning Udinese also, they have offered us him and we cant help ourselves.

On the other hand it could all just be random talk
