2024/25 Roman Dixon

Another who didn’t disgrace himself, like he never at spurs. Little raw defensively but forgivable in a young lad, and made things happen going forward combining well with lindstrom, who also did enough to warrant more minutes.

Continues to make the managers words a mockery imo.

Should have played many more minutes already this season, given our injuries.

Sadly, for us and him, will be dropped against Leicester.

I do wonder if it would be better served for his development to have him on the pitch at the same time as both Tarkowski and Branthwaite. They were a solid partnership last season and would help him through games a bit better I reckon.

Harrison could probably do more to help him on his side as well. He has the engine for it IMO.

The ball in the box was pathetically defended how is that Dixons fault - that's like saying someone gives a corner they were responsible for the goal!
We weren't talking about the set-piece and I never blamed him for it. What are you on about?

You said Fraser never got past him. I pointed out the numerous times he did or the times he fouled him. One lead to their goal.

Yeah exactly and the whole play came from Beto through on goal with a defender and getting put on his ass...

They have a responsibility for what they do, just like those who defend the set piece. I'm sure he will improve, but let's not get silly and sycophantic, he gave away two dangerous free kicks when a more experienced defender stands his man up

Our present full backs would have been nowhere near the winger .....

Also with your tunnel vision the many times Dixon gave him a hard game ..... & overlapped when needed - at present the age of our full backs they never get over the halfway line much .....

Possibly, that doesn't mean being blind to his own limitations.

We saw the same sort of stuff from a player of Brainthwaites quality against Brentford before his loan. It takes time to adapt to the ruthlessly fast decision making needed at this level. If Patterson is fit I'd be starting him and getting young Dixon a decent loan in Jan.

As it stands he may be needed before he is ready unfortunately

He's a better option with pace we don't have - yes he's not the end product we need, I agree, they cost a fortune - but he & maybe Patterson if fit is our way forwards - as for left back that another problem ....
