Responsibility on that goal was in McNeil mate, he was the one whose role it was to block the CBs free run. He just let him go though.

Link up play not bad and he has some pace.

Coleman was crap at defending when he first came on the scene and used to just bomb on like a special needs kid. Bains was class going forward but let's not kid ourselves he was average at best when needing to defend.

I thought both he and O'Brien had decent games last night. Dixon is certainly an upgrade on old Ashley and I think Dyche is running out of excuses not to play O'Brien, he looks comfortable and commanding and has a little more pace and aggression about him than Keane. Having said that, Keane had his best game for a very long time last night.

…I’m not sure he’s currently an upgrade on Young but I also thought he done ok last night and I’d be selecting him too.

I said pre-season this is the kid that might just force his way into the team given what’s ahead of him and I’m pleased he’s giving it a right good go. He’s always been a wonderful runner, the first time he took my eye he was actually playing in an advanced position for U21s.

I’ll also give a mention for forgotten man, Stan Mills. He might just get a chance on the right side if he gets his fitness back. Dyche is showing he gives these youngsters a chance, especially given the options he has been given.

Is this a joke - we probably won't see dixon or Armstrong until the next round of the league cup in August 25 (against Doncaster no doubt!)

Not sure he is an upgrade on Young? Eggs I am not sure you wouldn’t be an upgrade on Young; Dixon clearly is.
