Recovery pace is great but that’s his space and he dived in to give the free kick away. He’d got himself back in, these are things you learn with games and experience.

He should be on loan in league one making these errors.

He's shown some good signs. Was rash with the challenge for sure and that was in response to Armstrong going through the back of him a minute earlier.

We'll see how long he's given before Young is brought on for him, or he'll move Mcneil forward and bring him on left back.

They shouldn’t be for us in a relegation battle though. This is my whole point.

He’s got loads to like about him, would love him to be coming on when we’re comfortably winning a game and getting minutes here and there in the cup.

He’s absolutely nowhere near Aston Villa away in the prem, is everyone mad?!

Agreed but he can’t with our current RB situation. He will have to be thrown to the Wolves as the above can’t cut it.

Exact same situation as Patterson, was our starting RB 2 seasons running and should have been out on loan getting games under his belt. I know he got injured but if he’d had 2 seasons away on loan say SPL and one in the championship we may actually have a RB who’s capable of at least doing a job, totally irrelevant anyway as he hasn’t been able to stay fit.
 

He made a couple of mistakes but I thought he acquitted himself quite well.

Even though we were at home we were never in control of the game , Lindstrom did not give his fullback as much cover as Harrison would on that wing . But Dixon certainly did not look out of his depth.

A pity we were not able to use his pace down the wing but we were so busy defending as a team we only created chances on the break.

More experience in the bank for him.
 

We often say “they just need minutes” even when we deep down know our youngsters aren’t good enough, but he does genuinely look like he’ll be ok with experience.

Defensively naive, but doesn’t stand out as a “kid” and doesn’t look overawed.

If he gets no minutes he will be exactly the player next summer as he is now, which helps no-one given our squad.

Agree. Play him every week until Coleman and Patto are fit. After that, forget the names, number of appearances, club legend status - play which ever one is in the best form like every other sensible club would.
