This...we need a playmaker(s). The lack of movement off the ball and lack of cutting passes in the final third is killing us.

I don't think players should be scapegoated or put on a pedestal simply because of who they are.
Players should assessed on performances. Lukaku is possibly the most talented player in the squad and certainly has all the physical attributes that any forward can ask for. I would expect a man like him to lead the team, I don't see that happening and I criticise him for that.
He is certainly not alone in underperforming payers at the moment.
