He said pretty much the same thing about, Christ, minds gone blank, the striker at United, Slat. Sort of.
That Zlatan might be "good enough, strong enough" to play somewhere else?
Dont think he said that Rom was off mate. I heard it, and thought he meant if Rom played great, etc, then, lets talk again. Move, another deal, no idea, but he certainly wasnt saying "Right, one more year then hes off"
Granted, he will be if he is ace for us.
Football eh? Dont know why we bother these days.
Would you not expect an agent to always leave the door open for a mega pay day? All bluster for me.It just winds me up that this should be good news but his agent's quotes are leading to headlines like:
"Lukaku agrees new contract, still angling for move away from Everton"
http://soccer.nbcsports.com/2016/12...act-still-angling-for-move-away-from-everton/
"Romelu Lukaku to sign new Everton deal but may leave in summer – Raiola"
https://www.theguardian.com/footbal...-new-everton-contract-leave-agent-mino-raiola
"Romelu Lukaku open to leaving Everton soon despite imminent new Everton deal, claims agent Mino Raiola" - Shiny Metal Reflective Surface
"Romelu Lukaku to sign new Everton deal, could still move on - agent"
http://www.espnfc.co.uk/everton/sto...ew-everton-deal-could-leave-next-summer-agent
"Mino Raiola says Romelu Lukaku will sign a new Everton contract… but could leave in the summer "
Which makes us look small-time and that we're being taken for a ride here.

While not how I would do things, if you are right, then I can understand that given how modern football works.I take it that Raiola was letting the EFC board know that if they don't follow through with the assurances obviously given, he'll be looking for a move.
I agree with you but I do see it as Del Boy gamesmanship. Annoying yes but an agent protecting his image/position.I'd just rather he do it in private out of the public eye.
