I can't believe there isn't total adoration for Lukaku, he's the best striker we've had since Lineker. Just because he doesn't run around quite as much as Steven Naismith did, he doesn't get the same affection?! nuts.
It'll be a sad day when he's sold because we won't be able to get a striker as good no matter how much he goes for.
We've got to get out of this mindset of loving a plucky trier and start judging players on whether they can be in a league winning side.

Well said sir. Couldnt agree more.
Every striker has their weaknessses, Bob Latchford was an idle so an so. Linekar was the same- wouldnt even train in the week. Sharpy couldnt run at defenders. But you know what, they all scored goals. Lukaku is Lulaku, and imo is doing just great.

Much of the reason for this is the way he and his dad have behaved in media.

Are we possibly waiting till the window shuts to finalise any deal.

At this point we will know the full extent of the seasons wage structure and can then offer rises accordingly?

Just a thought.

Some fear that his head has been turned a bit with the Costa rumblings....

It's not a stretch to imagine, or perhaps to imagine him imagining, Griezman to United opening up Costa to Atletico which then opens up Rom to Chelsea.

Not saying that will happen, just that one can see Rom considering the possibility.

We are no better than 50/50 to keep him beyond the summer - contract or no.
