Don't get why people are turning on him before he's even gone. All he did was reject a contract. There's still room to manoeuvre a new one.

One of the best players we've had in the PL era, young, talented and ambitious - always talks about winning cups and silverware - and we're surprised when 7th place isn't enough to satisfy his ambition.

Maybe wait until after he's left before you boo. It's not exactly going to help our case if he doesn't feel wanted by the fans.

I dunno how much you have seen of dembele mate. Living in Scotland and watching a lot of Scottish football I can't say I've been overly impressed.

Yes he scores goals in a variety of manner, however and this is quite a sobering thought, leigh griffiths looked a better player last season and even this season when he has played.

Yes dembele has a lot of potential however he is a long way to go until he would be in the same stratosphere as lukaku, if he ever gets there as there hasn't been a massive amount of improvement in his time here.

In comparison the boy at Monaco mbappe seems to improve week on week at similar ages.

Not against dembele however it's a massive, proper massive risk.

Btw, I stress again, whatever comments these are (if they're the ones that I think they're going to be, it's disappointing) but it changes lirttle in the grand scheme of things.

Enjoy it while he's here and be safe in the knowledge that we're going to get a huge fee if he does go (which would have happened eventually regardless of any new deal).

All this 'he's not bigger than the club' nonsense needs to stop. He's been here four years, he's been our best player for four years. We all thought he'd be gone last summer. Wait and see what happens and get behind the team.

The player wants to further his career. At this moment in time though the club still hold all the cards.
