nyetIf he plays our upcoming Europa qualifiers, does that mean he can't play Champions League?

Odd. What if they get dumped out and land back in Europa?I don't think so.
I believe someone posted the rule a few weeks ago....playing in Europa does not cup tie a player for the CL.
What makes this debate even crazier is that over the last 4 years, we've basically not seen the team with a semi-component striker instead of Lukaku upfront because we haven't had anyone remotely good as backup and he's never been injured and plays 90 minutes every game.
I'd be curious how we'd play with someone else in his place but it's the great unknown.

Yes he been playing regular first team football since his teens, but like Rooney could be burnt out by 30. Saying that he is ripped and obviously looks after himself better than Rooney did.His fitness record is the one thing we would struggle to replace. He has been offset by Besic and McCarthy who are permacrocks.
That alone makes him worth a vast outlay.
Thing is with him having the physique of a boxer by 27 that could see him burn out fast. He has a lot of football miles on the clock already.
Fair enough for Champions and Europa. But if he plays in Europa qualifiers and lands back on a different team in the group stage it'd be more akin to playing for a League 2 side in the early FA cup rounds and then transferring to a Prem side who had yet to play. Regardless, it's all hypothetical. Bye Rom.They are two different competitions.
It would be like a player being bought by a team in January being Cup tied in the F.A Cup because he had played a League Cup tie in September whilst at his previous club.
