Just looks like every thread is fair game to have a go at Martinez...theres enough threads for that already. The mismanagement of the team is the reason the best striker we've had in 30 years sees himself leaving, so 100% related

Gutted but entirely unexpected sadly.
I will wish him the very best of luck if he does move on and hope the question will be asked at the highest level as to why we are not at least challenging for Europe this season.
Every player has ambitions. Sadly for Rom he couldn't realise those ambitions with us. But we are in good company, the RS couldn't keep hold of Suarez after they nearly won the league and united couldn't keep Ronaldo after they won the league and lost the champions league final. We had no hope of keeping rom, our league performances being the nail in the coffin for our hopes of retaining him. Even with 50m banked from his sale, I can't think of a player who would replace him and come up a team without champions league football to offer. It's sad that we have to admit we are not a top club who can't hold on to players, and nothing looks like changing in the near future.
Bring us the heads of all those who doubted Lukaku and his first touch and his work ethic and his price tag.
Being their posts before us. They must pay.
Personally don't believe that, short of a Leicester like run don't think we'd have kept him this summer regardless. The mismanagement of the team is the reason the best striker we've had in 30 years sees himself leaving, so 100% related

Must admit, I did question his first touch when he first came, but never called him 'lazy' and always knew he just needed time.

Always thought this myself, if a top, top team came in for him he would have wanted out, champions league footy or not.
Do you think if we'd have got 4th we'd have had a good chance of keeping him because I honestly don't.
