Romelu Lukaku has scored 61 goals in 127 games for Everton
Everton want £65million for the Belgium striker, who they signed from Chelsea for £28m in 2014.

Lukaku - also on Manchester United's radar - has made it clear he wants to leave Goodison Park and is keen on a return to Stamford Bridge, telling friends he has "unfinished business" at Chelsea.

With new manager Antonio Conte due to take over after Euro 2016, Chelsea have stepped up their recruitment drive in a bid to have most of their big deals completed by the time the Italian arrives.

Lukaku is high on the list of strikers he wants, but Chelsea will not pay the fee Everton are demanding and will turn elsewhere if the Toffees will not negotiate.

United and Italian side Juventus are believed to feel the same way.

Chelsea's other main option is Juventus striker Alvaro Morata. Arsenal also want the Spanish star and are ready to double his £4.5m-a-year wages, but Chelsea are ready to compete for a player that Real Madrid have a £23m buy-back option on.

With Morata unhappy at Juventus, sources in Italy claim Real are ready to buy the player back and then sell him on for as much as £40m.

Conte's third option is Borussia Dortmund striker Henrikh Mkhitaryan, another striker who is a target for Arsenal. He would cost around £24m.

Chelsea are still in talks with Roma over £31m Belgium midfielder Radja Nainggolen, and are hoping to conclude a deal in the next week.

Back to Finch Farm for you then mate...

Just wanted to chip in with my thoughts here.

We all know he's likely to go on to great things, he's got the potential. It's living up to that. At Everton he can get away with it, he's not always under media spotlight. At a massive team he'll be needed to perform week in week out. The last 10 games for us he was beyond dreadful. Will a top team accept 10 games of mediocrity from their big money striker? No.

He believes in his ability which is good but he needs to wake up a bit and realise he isn't world class yet.

The last 10 games and the absolute stinker of a semi final he had went under the radar because he plays for us. Anywhere else and he's slated for weeks.

Linked with Chelsea again today I see. I thought he wanted Champs League football. Well its a 15 month wait at least if he goes there this window.
But Chelsea wont be held to ransom by Everton the way that Lukaku wants to hold us to ransom
Apparently Lukaku has unfinished business at Chelsea lol

Look at Benteke at the RS. Unless he is scoring every game he is written off as a massive failure. Wheras in reality his goals to minutes ratio this season is better than Rom's

The only club that MAY pay 65m is a desperate PSG.
Nobody else will.
That's it in a nutshell. PSG will need someone this summer, at best they pay £65 mill, at worst they get mentioned enough to drive up the price for the likes of Manure/Chelsea. I'm hoping that we play hardball long enough to send out a message to other clubs that we don't have to sell if we don't want to, then the new manager comes in and sells him at a good price and goes on to use the money to buy individuals who suit his style and want to play for the club.

Lukaku can help Chelsea to pay the fee if Chelsea are not arsed to pay the full sum. £60m will do.
