Romelu Lukaku

Yes, in the first half. I don't see what's complicated about this. Why the hell are we even arguing about it? He slotted, we won, I'm happy. I like Rom, he's a good player.

I don't see the contradiction. He was crap in the first half, great in the second. NEA.
Agree. It was like playing with 10 men in the 1st half as everytime the ball went up to him, West Brom ended up with possession. We may as well have been hoofing it up to the keeper.

2nd half he was much improved and was rewarded with 2 goals and 1 assist.

Absolutely hilarious this.

Funes Mori was nowhere near anyone for the second goal, and totally at fault for the first; immune from criticism.

Lukaku scores twice, gets a fantastic assist and people focus on his first half display.

Incredible.

Funes Mori has a handful of premier league games and people seem happy to judge him instantly, yet people are shot down for daring to suggest that perhaps given his experience in this league, Lukaku should impose himself on a game more often!

love him when he can be arsed ! can just see his mind working when that cross came in for his 1st goal ! can i be arsed...yes or no then click yeah i'll go for it ! smashes his man out the way and thumps it in the net ! another day he'd decide he cat be bothered ! but think we can all agree when ya see him playing with swagger hes right up there ! lets hope he's got it next week !

No, what people should be recognising is that Lukaku did what he was supposed to do - score goals, at his rate of virtually 1 in every 2 across his career - whereas defender Funes Mori, all £9.5m of him, was arguably at fault for the Reading goal, played poorly, definitely at fault for the first tonight and nowhere near anyone for the second.

He might come good. I tell you what, I will happily stand the vault here and say he is going to look vastly overpriced.

Aye he should have been marking not only his man but Barkley's and Jag's on that corner mate, ofc we can just analyse a player on any mistake whilst ignoring anything else they do in a game, ffs may as well sell Stones like sometimes he loses the ball in dangerous spots

It's not that though buddy.

Stones can get away with outrages shoulder drops and stuff like that (like at Swansea) because he is absolutely incredible.

First league start and this lad thinks its a cracking idea to try and dribble down the wing.

Remember stones at rb in the Derby mate, looked crap, worse than Mori did at lb at Reading, bloke made one mistake tonight - one that 9/10 times would have been easily sorted by Barry. Unlucky that Barry himself had a 'moment'

Besides that he had a very solid game

well you just judge him after a couple of games then mate ! and let the sensible fans give him a bit of time before we do !

Sensible? You can't barely finish a sentence without an exclamation mark mate.

thought he did alright tonight ! you got to remember he hasnt settled yet he knows bobby likes us to play out from the back and probably overplayed it trying to impress ! but thought barry, jags and browning could of done better to ! apart from that didnt do anything wrong !

bobby's building a team ! and i like what im seeing ! he doesnt just look at one game he sees a bigger picture and hes going for it ! galloway and browning benefitting from it today !

Let's not be taking the high ground....
