I actually can't stand him now.

You had the chance to win some honours, Rom. Instead of this, you missed a pen, two sitters and were generally terrible the entire game.

Sell and get the money on him. 'Top' clubs have players like Suarez, Ronaldo, etc who get the goals, he'll be back on the bench.

All true, except you have to acknowledge that he single-handedly got us through the quarters...

Doesn't excuse the misses, but that does happen to any player.

I know great players have a bit if arrogance but this is getting unreal now with him. Hes becoming so disrespectful to this club, it's a joke. Players want to progress, that's fine and I accept it; but have some respect for the club and fans who pay your multi million pound contract

I don't want him back, this is not Everton of a couple of years ago, our flag has been planted and we are more than capable of getting a replacement of equal or better talent.

£65m and I'll pack your bags you disrespectful beaut

Stones should be the one we go all out to keep.

As long as we do that, then I'll at least be happy we did all we could. If the lad wants to go and play under Pep you can't blame him, but I think Koeman will be having a sit down with him as soon as possible.

I guess since his football the other night resembled that of Stephen Hawkins sloshed on limoncello, Our Lukaku has resorted back to talking himself to greatness.

A project you say?! what like a new owner taking over and splashing the cash on a new manager, stadium and top class players with lofty ambitions to take his new club back to the top.... well Rom, i have no idea where you'll find that.

But, as much as Rom is being a tit, you have to say that this is what last season did to us.

I know I was behind RM at the time (up until March), but looking back it's really hit hard.

Players aren't fans. They don't want to wait/won't wait, and in all fairness you can't blame them. Whether it's more money they're after, or if they genuinely want success and to be part of the best sides under the best managers - it's a short career.

However, the thing with Rom is that in the big games (bar a few) he hasn't turned up and that's what the best managers won't have.

It has to be said that last season on the whole though he was ace for us, in a very under-performing side with a manager that was clueless.

I'm delighted that Rom has had a terrible first game at the Euros. I hope, in the unlikely event that he gets picked again, that he is even worse.
This will mean that we won't be able to sell him for anywhere near the £55-60 million so he will have to stay with us and work his balls off for Koeman and become the player he was for 75% or so of last season.

Stones under Koeman will become the defender we all know he can be. I have no issue with Rom wanting to further his career, how he's disrespecting his current employers and their fans is what I take issue with.

In all honesty, don't want him back. Regardless of how good he can be, and his goal scoring record, I'd still be happy to cut this relationship short

If
this is true, and I hope it's not, then I don't recognise this Everton.
We need to have some balls with this melon and keep him if no one offers what we want - not reward him further.

We need not to be stupid with this money coming in and waste it on people like him.
I've said it before that I don't consider him an Everton player anymore and judging by his latest comments neither does he. Just get rid.

Can't stand him.

Agree with all of this mate.

I was expecting animal porn... Pleasantly surprised if that's true, but still don't see it happening

might not be that much, but I believe we will certainly offer him considerably improved terms. If nothing else, its a PR thing where if he leaves, we can plead that we did all we could to keep him. Plus, an offer at that level would put to the test whether his constant interviews really are about champions league or whether the truth is he really just wants a large pay rise.
