Romelu Lukaku

When the "injury" happened Koeman said after the game it wasn't serious and wouldn't be a doubt for Spurs. That was a week ago.

It is a bit surprising don't you think that now he's unfit and hasn't been training.

Personally I think he's gone. I think he's been gone from the start of the window and was told to shut up so as not to embarrass the club and the board and turn it into a saga that would back the club and board up against the wall like what happened with Stones last season.
Exactly

I don't recall the ins and outs of Roms contract, but was there any "sell on clause" in his contract? Would be hilarious if there was and Chelsea essentially got "cash back" when they buy him off us!

lol

Del has been used there as an alternative mate. Just different options.

Unless somebody offers our valuation for Rom, he isn't leaving
Just like someone had to meet our valuation of Stones. Oh wait a minute they didn't meet our valuation and we still sold.

All this meeting our valuation talk is just the club trying to get the best price possible but they want to sell.

I thought all drama ended with Moshiris take over sadly not it seems. I hope he stays but if he goes now its `typical` Everton

One cannot legislate for the likes of Lukaku albeit a great goal scorer but who then believes he is too good for our club and should be elsewhere to play for a top 4 team and in Europe.

I don't see the value of even trying to keep Rom. If he wants out then let him go. No point keeping him, especially in a season between International comps - nothing for him to play for or impress. Get rid, cash in and get Walshy to find us a decent 40m striker who will play for the club and not for the cash.

i havent seen him actually quote that he wants to leave though? sure before euros, he was being an asswhip, but i think that was more mino, the last ive heard quoted from player or agents mouth was mino saying positive things about "evertons project". all the other speculation seems to just be journos writing rubbish articles and the other papers follow suit? correct me if im wrong mate, but i havent heard rom saying he wanted to leave for over a month now, i think after euros he realised another season might be good for him with no extra pressure.

a) there literally aren't any of those strikers about

b) Rom's 'value' to the club is 20+ goals per-season

And then there's some of us who want players like that because they're our ambitions as well. In fact what we were told were Moshiri's ambitions too.

But his ambitions are to play elsewhere and not stay to achieve them. Which shows he has no confidence in our club getting into the position he wants.

Exactly and who do you blame for that? Selling our young top class CB to bring in a 32 year old and buying a GK from Fulham and a defensive midfielder on the cheap from an awful relegated side.

As I said the club have no intention of keeping Lukaku. They just want to get as much money as possible for him no different than Stones.
