He did it as a favor didn't he? I don't think he did anything wrong by playing. Fans overreacted in this particular instance. When he opens his big mouth, the fume is warranted.

He knew well how much that it would upset fans, even if it is needlessly petty. He clearly has checked out from a mental standpoint and that's not acceptable, no deal has been agreed and there's no certainty whatsoever that one will be. Until then keep your head down.
