Perversely I'd have loved to see him sulking through our worst 9-0-1 formation hoofball fests this season.

Compare him with the rest of the attack, ballers like Lingard, Rashford, Pogba, Martial, Sanchez, Mata and he just sticks out like a sore thumb. For all his athletic ability his lack of balance renders his strength redundant, he's not at all dominant in the air and his overall presence on the pitch is almost paradoxically lacking. I got behind this transfer at the beginning of the season but it's clear now he's not only not contributing enough himself but he's holding back the rest of the talent in terms of playing time and playing style.
Struggling to have faith in his ability to hold the ball up. When he’s not on it you just know we’re not getting anything from the move.
He's the talisman of [Poor language removed]. If the team is playing [Poor language removed], dont expect Lukaku to put any graft in. His link up play is weak as piss.
Big game bottler who loves to go into hiding when the chips are down.
How can one be so lazy in such a big game. His body language says "its your fault" or "im giving up" all the time.
He's not showing any desire, that's my main gripe.
His lack of work ethic is something I will never forgive him for. Sanchez isnt having a great game but he is working his arse off for the team
Lukaku must think Christmas has arrived late with Sanchez coming in though. The perfect signing for him - does the legwork and the movement that Rom is incapable of and leaves him to do what he does best; being a luxury player but a predatory finisher.
The perception of him will shift over the next few months as goals disguise shortcomings once more - if he doesn't fill his boots with Pogba, Sanchez et al in support then he's even worse than I originally thought.
Yeah who needs Lukaku when we've got Fat Waz lol
The bitterness in here is embarrassing..
People can't seem to let go.Why are we still discussing a player who left 6 months ago?
People can't seem to let go.
As long as Sanchez performs half decently, he should be a breath of fresh air for Lukaku whose main role in that United team of late has been being a defender magnet, creating space for Martial and Lingard, ironically creating more chances for them than they do for him.
Factor in that waz is playing in a side that's been dire at best, and it's a hell of an achievement.
