Romelu Lukaku

Sort of. It's not that Lukaku has the wrong attitude, because I think he genuinely wants to improve and is a natural 'winner'. He has a world class attitude in terms of the self-belief in being the best.

However... he doesn't channel it in the right areas. He seems to totally fail to recognise what he needs to improve to be a genuine top class player. He says the right things in public interviews but I've seen no improvement in his off the ball play and general technique since his days at West Brom.

So he has the 'potential' attitude to be top drawer, but hasn't applied it correctly. He's arrogant for the wrong reasons.

I think you've articulated what I was trying to say much better here;)

I disagree with that tbh. I think he used to have a great eye for winners and strong characters that he undoubtedly turned into better players, but he may well have lost that over the last few years

Unfortunately, he just doesn't seem to be the same since Madrid. He's lost the likeable "coach" aspect, and has since been a moodier version of Wenger (who also seems incapable of improving players these days).

I was just about to say that Lukaku improved so much on his aerial ability, so why the hell do they never cross the ball? They struggle because they try to play everything in the middle and it congests the pitch. They get a cross in and "OMG WE SCORED HOW WE DO DAT"
Tried to sign Perisic to solve exactly that.

Inter asked for crazy money.
