Romelu Lukaku

Cost United tonight, missing that chance in the first half. That's his bread and butter. Slots it with his eyes closed for Everton, or even United last season.

He's the least of United's problems, mind. The whole team apart from Shaw were horrendous there and Mourinho looks to have lost the dressing room. Club's a complete shambles currently. Mourinho has to go.

I agree. Mourinho is doing a terrible job managing players, but I feel like he always has. Yet he seems to be incredibly bad this time around. When things go good, he praised himself. When it goes bad, it's blame the board, the players, the refs. That's just not good managing. I can't see anyone in that club believing he has their backs, and I do think that is important in a manager.

I’d smash our transfer record to bring him back NEA

51 million? If so I agree, he is not worth what we got for him though seeing we now have a front 3 that can actually pass the ball. For Lukaku to thrive you need a defensive setup/players that just lump the ball forward to him at the first opportunity. As teams were often attacking us in numbers it left the space that he needs to look good in.

I’d agree and disagree there. He’s hopeless at build up play but his mere presence causes chaos he regularly got assists for us and has the pace to push up the field. Him Richarlison, siggy and Walcott would be very dangerous on the counter

On paper it does look good but I think it might be the case of too many cooks, which is what we are seeing at utd. The pressure seemed to get to Rom (think of the big games for us), so I reckon if he came back to us he would instantly be better than what he is showing at the moment as he just can't hide playing for them.
