Romelu Lukaku

A big club would have let him run down his contract . His goals would mean so much this season

A stupid club would have. Honestly mate, if he was willing to get his head down and wait for a move for one more season I would have been happy with 40m. When you've got someone saying "staying isn't an option and I know where I'll be going" well you simply get rid for as much as you can.

We got 3 good seasons from him and still didn't win sod all so let's see what the management can sort out for this season.

I don't believe this to be true. Yes we could have got one more season out of him but nothing would have changed and it would have still been lukaku or nothing, except this time he knows he is off 100% (similar to this summer) so we don't get the best out of him yet again because why would he? He stopped playing in March this year probably to preserve himself

We swapped one player who was the focal point of the team for 4 years and in return got a new spine that is 24 or under. Pickford already saved 2 points this season, Keane could be a 10 year defender for us, klassen has all the ability once he finds his feet to do some great things ala ajax and sandro is a 21 year old striker who was apparently coveted by athletico.

The whole team dynamic has changed (not sure what to yet tbh) we have become a team again, we are signing team players to work together and not just give it to lukaku 38 games a season. If 3 of the 4 players who were brought in on the back of selling lukaku form the spine of our team for years to come then that is fantastic business for us.

You've sort of answered your own question there mate and not my point which was "if he got his head down" basically not agitating for a move. The rest of my post basicslly confirms I'm not too fussed on him leaving as he was an absolute cry arse at every opportunity and I'm happy with the deals we've done.....so far. We still need a front man and I think then we'll see a difference and a more smooth transition and style of football between all the forward players.

I dont know why some are so sore about Lukaku. Handed us 4 seasons and 70 odd goals and a massive profit on his fee to have our summer spend.

We should be happy for him.
Yes we should be happy for people who don't play for Everton anymore!

If we force to keep an unhappy player till next summer...those interested parties will wait until 31 August 2018 to make low bids. Pretty much like what Barkley is doing to us now.
