This all day. Best bit about it was his constant belittling of the club making himself appear bigger than us. He never was. We were the perfect platform for him to improve as a young player. He thought he was the finished article before he was, got his move and now predictably it's all gone wrong for him. He deserves everything he got yesterday.
Hes a top finisher but beyond that hes a liability and he has been from day dot. Instead of working on his game and actually improving as a player he chose to believe his own hype. Hes failed bigtime there and everyone knows it, few top clubs would touch him with a bargepole especially for the money they're gonna want for him and his wages. Plus you get the attitude.
Got that big move he always wanted and he’s only ended up one position above us.
It was 4 years ago. You were right, enjoy it. You sound a little bit sour about something relatively inconsequential 4 years old.

I have stated elsewhere that Luakaku can be worth up to £20m - £12m down plus add ons. This amazing potential that he has which in reality is the hope he learns how to control a ball and pass - is pretty important for me. 30 goals in 2 season, in the Prem.
Welbeck will be a very good player out of colours of united and in a central role.

Welbeck will be a very good player out of colours of united and in a central role. What like the 28 games he had playing centrally for Sunderland you mean? When he managed an amazing tally of 6 goals. LOL
Think you need to get "watching" football and leave the stats alone. Welbeck at £10m is better value than Rom at £20m+... thats all, lets not get into a "he said Welbeck is bettter" hissy fit. For what we need Welbeck represents better value.
A question, on your sticker swaps is lukaku worth 3 swaps or two shiny's? I remember years ago Dalglish and Sharp were worth that....

Bizarrely, when Lukaku played wide in that game, he was 10x more effective as he didn't have to play back to goal, which he's as useful as Michael Owen at. So he was running in on goal from his starting position with a ball to feet. And therein lies the issue - we look like we play a link up...
He can be a plan B for a team, a little bit like Rodgers may have considered using Andy Carroll - but he didn't. He wanted technically competent footballers - which is why he has gone for Lambert.

5 years ago... most of high at which time were saying "he's only 20, his touch will improve"..... it hasn't. Just like I said. And yeah I have enjoyed it.

ts not like i've said not much different - maybe i've been a little too direct and hurt feelings by labelling Lukaku a "poor footballer", but unfortunately thats what he is. If he can't control a ball, lay it off and the defenders know this, then unfortunately you are going to struggle, teams can plan for you.Lukaku

My crystal ball never showed all the injuries that wellbeck has suffered but I maintain he's a better footballer than lukaku. Got plenty of posts about lukaku that are eerily accurate if you want me to post them.
I said once he went there that United wouldn't win a tap with him as the striker. Nothing I've seen has altered my opinion

Being serious about Lukaku's weight gain for a moment, is he on steroids? It's not like Jags and Williams. I mean, Jags has tits and a gut. Lukaku doesn't. Did Mourinho give him some kind of hardcore weight training regime or something?
