I know I've said it before, but when he played for us, he was a big fish in a small pond. Now he's a big fish in a lake full of other big fish.
This all day. Best bit about it was his constant belittling of the club making himself appear bigger than us. He never was. We were the perfect platform for him to improve as a young player. He thought he was the finished article before he was, got his move and now predictably it's all gone wrong for him. He deserves everything he got yesterday.Best ever? Or just happened to score more than others.... not the best striker I've seen at the club not by a stretch.
He spent his time here pimping himself out to other clubs at a cost to our reputation... when other players in the football world see players from clubs trying to get moves away it makes the club less attractive.
Let's take Lucas Digne or Bernard, 2 players who could arguably play for one of the elite teams in Europe - which for the record Lukaku couldn't. They keep their mouths shut and play the way they have been...... in the summer when we are looking at buying - potential targets will look at them and think "that's a team going places... I'm interested". If they spend the next 3 months talking up a move away we arent as attractive by any where near as much.
So yeah.... when the fat lumbering prick who couldn't give a damn about us gives it hands to ears to Everton fans at old trafford then yeah.... let him take it both barrels.
What post was that? Repeated post or repeated opinion?
Let's be honest 90% of the forum behaved like I was committing a crime just criticising him.
Cracks open vault doors...You were earlier on that opinion than 2015.... you were on here with me in 2014 (was hafnia back then).... yep... we can spot a yard dog.
5 years ago... most of high at which time were saying "he's only 20, his touch will improve"..... it hasn't. Just like I said. And yeah I have enjoyed it.It was 4 years ago. You were right, enjoy it. You sound a little bit sour about something relatively inconsequential 4 years old.
Cracks open vault doors...
In 70 minutes I seen more touch and finess from Origi than I have all season from lukaku.Lukaku
I have stated elsewhere that Luakaku can be worth up to £20m - £12m down plus add ons. This amazing potential that he has which in reality is the hope he learns how to control a ball and pass - is pretty important for me. 30 goals in 2 season, in the Prem.www.grandoldteam.com
Welbeck will be a very good player out of colours of united and in a central role.
ah you boys all bonding over some Lukaku fanboyism and Welbeck the right midfielder hating...Lukaku
Welbeck will be a very good player out of colours of united and in a central role. What like the 28 games he had playing centrally for Sunderland you mean? When he managed an amazing tally of 6 goals. LOLwww.grandoldteam.com
Think you need to get "watching" football and leave the stats alone. Welbeck at £10m is better value than Rom at £20m+... thats all, lets not get into a "he said Welbeck is bettter" hissy fit. For what we need Welbeck represents better value.
A question, on your sticker swaps is lukaku worth 3 swaps or two shiny's? I remember years ago Dalglish and Sharp were worth that....
ts not like i've said not much different - maybe i've been a little too direct and hurt feelings by labelling Lukaku a "poor footballer", but unfortunately thats what he is. If he can't control a ball, lay it off and the defenders know this, then unfortunately you are going to struggle, teams can plan for you.Lukaku
Bizarrely, when Lukaku played wide in that game, he was 10x more effective as he didn't have to play back to goal, which he's as useful as Michael Owen at. So he was running in on goal from his starting position with a ball to feet. And therein lies the issue - we look like we play a link up...www.grandoldteam.com
He can be a plan B for a team, a little bit like Rodgers may have considered using Andy Carroll - but he didn't. He wanted technically competent footballers - which is why he has gone for Lambert.
