You ok mate? how are you taking the news that another top club wants big Rom?

Inter have finished 4th, 7th, 4th, 8th, and 5th the last 5 seasons, they’re basically the Man U of Italy. They haven’t been a top club since the 1960s outside their two-year Mourinho revival.

In strictly football terms United is so badly run, commercially of course is another thing (seems their owners care for that much more). It got me thinking, outside Busby and Ferguson era did United ever had any major success, seems to me that majority of their success came only under those 2 managers

Pretty much that really. Like they have chipped in with cups outside of those 2 but I reckon you would struggle to find much in the way of continued success. Like most clubs in England really.

They were always biggest spenders during golden age of Serie A in 90s and early 2000s, breaking world record transfers for Ronaldo and Vieri, splashing money on Seedorf, Zanetti, Bergkamp, Baggio, Zamorano, Recoba, Crespo, Simeone, Ibrahimovic and Adriano, German trio in early 90s Klinsmann, Brehme and Mathauss etc.. They were biggest spenders in Europe but still couldn't win [Poor language removed] all, Juve was winning everything in Italy while Milan was successful in Europe. Only after Juve was thrown to Serie B in mid 2000s Inter finally came on top.

Mancini had already made Inter a dominant side by the time Mourinho got there.
Historically, I'd regard Inter as a big club, but it was pretty pathetic how they crumbled as soon as Juventus returned to form. They had years to put a huge gap between themselves and their rivals after Calciopoli, but were pegged back almost straight away.

This could be a disaster for Lukaku if he shows up in anything less than peak condition. It's not as though he has a lot of technical ability to fall back on, and Inter's fans aren't the most patient.

We know about his limitations but you could always rely on Lukaku for goals at the very least. No idea what went on last season in terms of the weight he put on and the overall performances.

That aside, there's still a brilliant player in there if he sorts himself out. Let's not forget how awful this United team is and the impact that will have had on him.

To be honest i do think he is better then we seen last season, but whats wrong with him trying to drag the side forward, top players will perform when the rest of the team isnt, he couldnt do that.
Needs to move abroard i reckon, although id be happy if he stayed there as I fully expect United to struggle again next season and we should be targetting them
