Romelu Lukaku

This could be a disaster for Lukaku if he shows up in anything less than peak condition. It's not as though he has a lot of technical ability to fall back on, and Inter's fans aren't the most patient.

It's a tough league and they aren't going to give him a load of space to get in behind. If the defenders keep Lukaku in front of them he is going to find it very hard to get a decent goal return.

We know about his limitations but you could always rely on Lukaku for goals at the very least. No idea what went on last season in terms of the weight he put on and the overall performances.

That aside, there's still a brilliant player in there if he sorts himself out. Let's not forget how awful this United team is and the impact that will have had on him.
Not quite as awful as we were, although we are heading up and them.. Nice to see we ripped them for his transfer.

Historically, I'd regard Inter as a big club, but it was pretty pathetic how they crumbled as soon as Juventus returned to form. They had years to put a huge gap between themselves and their rivals after Calciopoli, but were pegged back almost straight away.

I think people are mistaking Serie A for an easy league. He won't be given an inch of space and I think it will go terribly for him unless he gets back to his old lean self and start putting in the hard yards. He's pyar instagram now so he I'm betting he won't

I agree with both of you. Serie A is much more open than it used to be, but I don't think you get nearly as many unforced errors from defenders making poor decisions as what we see in England. He was always very good at capitalising on bottom-half centre-backs overplaying in front of their own box, but in Italy he's going to have work harder than I think he's capable of at this point.

He's still fairly young, but he's been playing first team football for a long time and has a lot of miles on the clock. Physically, he reminds me of Kluivert at Newcastle, so much so that I wonder if it's even possible for him to get back into the shape he was in at Everton. Without that ability to burst past smaller, weaker players, he doesn't really have much to offer.

You ok mate? how are you taking the news that another top club wants big Rom?

Shocked they haven't gone for DCL instead?

Im fine....Rom has been told he can leave by solksjaer after being part of a disastrous Man United team and inter are offering half of what we sold him for and we get 5m

"Big club" Inter haven't won anything in 8 years.....maybe conte is hoping the pedestrian pace will suit him.

How did his big move to United go eh??? Fab wasn't it. Has he actually won anything?

Dont worry about DCL I'm sure He will be working on his finishing this summer rather than acting like a gangsta rapper by that lumpy load of garbage.

Is Big Rom in USA yet?...is Pogba's 'LA Gangsta Posse' rapping in the Hollywood Hills?...
Boss slotter is Big Rom, but his close ball control needs work...
Rumours are he's headed to the Heart Attack Grill on Freemont Street in Vegas. If you're over 300lb you get to eat for free.

Just looking at Serie a..... his success as a "1 in 2" goal better really does depend on the lower league teams offering him his 2 or 3 goal games to get his averages up for when he's playing against the big boys and chiellini puts him in his pocket like he did in the euros.

If there are some seriously ropey sides then that could happen......

Funny how leagues have changed.... Brazilian Ronaldo played for Inter 20 years ago - probably the best striker of the last 50 years. Now they could have that lump playing for them.

Listened to Talk Sport last night and they were asking what would be his best destination. Not even Danny Mills thought he'd suit Everton's style of play now. He came up with Newcastle as a destination solution within England if Inter fell through.

I then spiralled into a pit of despair after agreeing with Danny Mills.
