Romelu Lukaku

We know about his limitations but you could always rely on Lukaku for goals at the very least. No idea what went on last season in terms of the weight he put on and the overall performances.

That aside, there's still a brilliant player in there if he sorts himself out. Let's not forget how awful this United team is and the impact that will have had on him.
He scored goals for an awful Everton team. He should be able to score goals for a less awful United team.

I think he needs to be at a club where they're just grateful to have someone who guarantees double figures in the league every year, and there aren't lofty expectations in terms of style or trophies. I could maybe see him at Leicester when Vardy retires, but the rest of the clubs in England either couldn't afford/attract him or simply wouldn't want him.

Lukaku's problem is he hasn't grown as a footballer since Everton at all, His first touch is still poor, He still can't play up top on his own, He won't do the chasing, Still if you put it on a plate for him he's banging it in the net.
It'll probably go down as one of the worst transfer in history but you can't really blame United for it because he was banging goals in for fun at a young age at WBA and Everton.

HOME? Are we his home??? I dong think he sees Everton as Home.... he got slated for the disrespect he showed us before his move. He gave it "the ears" to our fans when United beat us. He got called fatty at goodison when we battered his side... Everton is not his home and I'm glad.

Let's look at it properly.... he flopped at Chelsea, didn't fancy fighting for his place. Got loaned to WBA where he was effectively used as a super sub after Shane long tired the defenders out. Went back to Chelsea and didn't want to fight for his place - wanted guarantees and got loaned to us.
lol Pedro attempting to edit the historical record here.
The 20 odd goals he scored for us were just down to Field Marshall Naismith pulling the opps defense hither and yon. On a plate for the big lummox.

Not quite... but field Marshall Naismith did indeed know how to score against better sides. He didn't go hiding like the big lummox who would just save his energy for his 2nd and 3rd goals against teams already beaten.....

The season we finished 7th.... take away lukakus goals and we would have finished 7th..... that's him in one stat.

But but but but but. He's only 22, we don't play to his strengths, he's not fat he's heavy boned....

That doesn't really hold water, his goals at times put games to bed when teams were staging fight backs.See Bournmouth at home amongst others, but as others have said his first touch and lack of work rate will stop him from being the player he could have been in the Prem.Italy or Spain may see him flourish.

It does hold water....nearly as much water as he's holding.... when games are tight and teams less committed he finds it tough to make a mark.

When teams have to commit players and open up to get equalisers he gets the space that his lack of technique and ability on the ball needs.

His success at Everton was in many ways fortunate due to the lack of striker rotation options which meant he got selected when he had previously stunk the gaff out ... his sporadic form meant he never suffered for his no shows against top sides. He was also lucky that our managers indulged him and the players around him did too......he relied on a lot of people to get the numbers that supposedly elevated him to some status that got him a move to United.

United have indulged him - surprisingly imo but not to the degree that they will tolerate the nonsense we did. He's in for a rude awakening.
And yet top managers and teams want to sign him.

And yet top managers and teams want to sign him.

Top teams? Who? Top managers? Who?

Inter Milan potentially for a manager who hasn't even joined yet???

Let's put it this way..... he's 26 and Man United want to sell him - they don't want to sell Rashford (who I correctly stated would be first choice striker for them) where all the big boys???

If Spurs make Harry Kane available - Real Madrid, Juve and Bayern Munich are bidding daft money....Salah, Firminho, if Liverpool want to sell them then you are looking at Europe's top sides bidding mega money.....

Inter apparently won't go further than £20m plus perisic. Fail.

Lukakus international spot will get taken by Origi also.... at least he's rich eh.
