Romelu Lukaku

Think he would have bagged a few goals in that game could easily have been a 6-3 bournemouth type result imo mate.

What chances were missed that he would have finished? Or are you suggesting that his unbelievable offside defying movement and fantastic individual skills would have created goals for himself?

Considering he would have had them doubling up it would have created many more chances for others - Rom also scored a few solo pearls himself (that Bournemouth game alone).

The non believers worship false idols whilst turning their noses up at EFC's best striker since Rooney.

Doubling up? On a player who fit in paddy mcnairs back pocket??? Ok ...lol

Like I said best striker since Rooney and after what we've had up top the past 2 seasons how some fans can honestly slate Rom is hilarious.

Akin to having Karius in the sticks for 2 seasons and spending your days slating Nigel Martyn...

Do you just pretend that miscontrolling balls, losing possession, strolling around, not being able to win headers or an inability to hold the ball up means you can still be a good striker?

Because having a goal hanger who does all those things isn't hilarious..... whats even worse is some fans who don't understand football can't see it.

Best striker since Rooney? Whatever he is I wouldn't have him near our side on a free transfer. You can argue where he sits amongst the likes of James Beattie, beckford, AJ, Jo, Jelavic, Kone, Saha, Jeffers, all of which combined cost less than what he cost us...

Rom was a player we needed/suited us at that particular time. He did well for us in this regard, but even that in mind I always felt a team had play in way that had to suit him and it was a matter of time before he got figured out.

Sorry he's not, he's at least a stone heavier, less mobile and not as quick, also he scored a lot more goals playing for Everton. Apart from that your pretty much right mate.
Your spot on regards the weight issue. He has too much muscle which is affecting both his mobility and endurance. He’s football’s version of Frank Bruno. The sweat is always pouring off him early in games.

He’s a very good striker, and his touch isn’t as bad as some make out (been guilty of it myself), but he’s not among the top bracket of forwards. He’s not starting for United and no-one is batting an eyelid.

Don’t know where he’d go after United. If he somehow loses that weight he’s carrying around the field maybe he could come good.

The problem with him scoring more goals for Everton is it the style of play was geared towards him, a style that doesn’t win you pots. Get it in the mixer for the big unit to get on the end off, that method of play is not challenging top sides. It needs more quick interplay, a style he struggles with.

Must hurt the non believers to think that Rom in the side last season would have seen us finish 7th playing in Europe this season and likely a cup final as he would have swatted Millwall/Wolves/Watford like flies.

Didn't Lukaku's Manchester United get beat by Wolves in the quarter finals?

Lukaku's just side footed @pedro1976 's head into the top corner for the entire weekend again here, incredible.

And yet poor Pedro still cannot escape the fact that Lukaku is vast amounts better than DCL.

Interestingly, you only need to write 1 Lukaku post for the 7 of @pedro1976 's - which of course is roughly the games to goal ratio of the useless Calvert-Bambi.

Make of that what you will.
