Romelu Lukaku

Your spot on regards the weight issue. He has too much muscle which is affecting both his mobility and endurance. He’s football’s version of Frank Bruno. The sweat is always pouring off him early in games.

He’s a very good striker, and his touch isn’t as bad as some make out (been guilty of it myself), but he’s not among the top bracket of forwards. He’s not starting for United and no-one is batting an eyelid.

Don’t know where he’d go after United. If he somehow loses that weight he’s carrying around the field maybe he could come good.

The problem with him scoring more goals for Everton is it the style of play was geared towards him, a style that doesn’t win you pots. Get it in the mixer for the big unit to get on the end off, that method of play is not challenging top sides. It needs more quick interplay, a style he struggles with.

Spot on post mate put far better than I did it's a shame really, when younger he had the potential to go right to the top he just hit a brick wall, Everton were his level, though maybe not now.
Don't think I'd want him back now, we play more like a team and not just to his strengths, as you said, football has moved on, a top team can't rely on one man.

Shifting the weight is easy, diet, discipline and a different exercise regime...so not likely to happen.

Lukaku's just side footed @pedro1976 's head into the top corner for the entire weekend again here, incredible.

And yet poor Pedro still cannot escape the fact that Lukaku is vast amounts better than DCL.

Interestingly, you only need to write 1 Lukaku post for the 7 of @pedro1976 's - which of course is roughly the games to goal ratio of the useless Calvert-Bambi.

Make of that what you will.

I can't escape the fact that some bedwetters still pine for a player who had 6 easy chances plus a penalty against Man United to get us into an FA cup final...... yet they go on about a lad who is years behind in experience levels but can pop on his CV that he scored a final winning goal for England in the U21 world cup, and who has since kicked on and become a far more rounded player than Rom ever will be.

Pele was the wrong footballer to advertise Viagra, lukaku is the perfect, he can't get past a semi.

Ffs, will the internet personal trainers do some proper research...... it's not muscle that he has put on he's FAT. His head is like a water melon, no definition in any part of his face, fat round face.

His stomach protudes.... visceral fat! Not just subcutaneous which is the stuff you can pinch - his stomach cavity is pushing outwards, he's lumping around at least an extra 15 pounds of fat for the extra 5 or 6 pound of muscle that he put on in his 7 or 8 weeks of "muscle building".

At Everton I would say he was 14.5st.... he's deffo nudging 16.5st at the moment.

he's an endomorph who like Rooney needs to do nothing more than high intensity cardio, kettle bell lifts, sledge runs, hill sprints. Difference is Rooney is a naturally strong coordinated aggressive bloke, lukaku isn't. Rooney when he did balloon could still cover 11km in a game cos he had heart and a desire for the team to do well.

- mocks "the internet personal trainers"
- gives us an physiological breakdown of Lukaku based on no scientific evidence.

My favourite bit is the training programme lol

As if he would go to West Am.

It's the right type of move for him.. that's not me being rudiculous its an actual fact.

Lukaku needs a team to focus it's play on him and to structure it's formation and selection on getting the best out of him and to select players who can patch up the weaknesses he brings.

It will all make for allardyce type football, a 442/451 formation with a DCL type player who does the second striker 5th midfielder role. With a very moyes like midfield. It will pander to his ego and make him the top dog he demands to be.

Pretty similar to his time at WBA. For me not many teams with ambition or fans with patience will stomach it.

It's not a fact ffs. He would not go anywhere near the hammers or their like.

Tell me which part you disagree with? Or is it a bit like your football knowledge? Disagree with actually knowing too much.

I think you've managed to get nearly every single bit wrong, but by far and away the best bit was you morphing into some deranged Mr Motivator / Joe Wicks type figure lol lol lol

Huge fan of you thinking you know more that the nutrionists, physios and trainers for Belgium and United when you can barely manage a coherent sentence.

Imagine if he did go to West Ham, Lukaku haters be thinking crap they'll finish above us? Haha even though Rom is the worst striker ever and Tosun and DCL are miles better
