Foe X amount of minutes in games Lukaku looks hopeless on his own up front, Valencia comes on and Lukaku looks like a different player, Koemans you would think can see this.
Its one that make one ponder isnt it?

Why did Martinez labour on so long with an approach that became doomed? Quite simply, single mindedness and a stubborn belief in a doctrine.
Or perhaps it's because 4-4-2 is still the taboo of modern English football; a system that has became seen as the anti-Christ to a new doctrine.
Whatever it is, it's incredibly frustrating. I'm not advocating using it in the medium to long term, however in the short term it's worth the risk.
4-2-3-1 or however people want to label it simply isn't working for us and hasn't for quite the while now.
Ironically we play with more freedom when a second forward comes on, yet it's never a starter.
I forsee a 3-5-2 coming into play soon
Never understood people saying that. Also a bit asine as just because its the most talent we've had in 20 years, they forget to account for the fact the rest of the league has more talent as wellWe all thought they were the best squad in 20 years on paper last year lol.
Just seen the Leicester score.
Do you think the Citeh fans share the same feeling of despair?

Lukaku looks like a completely player as well.

A sign that Koeman doesn't trust Valencia to play anything more than a cameo role at the dying stages of a game?Foe X amount of minutes in games Lukaku looks hopeless on his own up front, Valencia comes on and Lukaku looks like a different player, Koemans you would think can see this.
It was the same with kone last year at the start of the season. The added striker just created more space
No, because they can see what style Pep is trying to impose and he for sure will come goodJust seen the Leicester score.

You need to have at least one defender with pace and one defender who's good on the ball to play with 3 centre backs though. Our 3 senior centre backs don't have any of those attributes between them.
